Got the word from Stefan today that he'd accepted a job at President James Madison's plantation, Montpelier. Check it out online at http://www.montpelier.org/. Great news. The grant that's funding the position lasts a year, though the position may outlast the grant. Comes with inexpensive housing on the property.
This is a major project. The DuPont family acquired the property in the last century and added - I think - 50 or 60 rooms to the mansion. They are now pulling that apart trying to restore the hose to the way it was when Madison died. Really worth seeing next time you're near Charlottesville.
Starts work tomorrow - Sept 8.
